Stamped & Beaded “Shine” Bracelet

Special thanks to my friends at ImpressArt for sponsoring today’s post; all opinions are honestly my own, as always.

I don’t know about you, friends, but I am so ready for sunshine and warm spring weather! Things are taking their sweet time blooming here in Maryland and the weather has been less than cooperative, so I’ve been trying to make myself a few “pick me up”s to boost my mood and help me think spring! Today, my project {first one in my new craft room!!!} was this quick and easy stamped and beaded bracelet. The yellow beads combined with the word “SHINE” are helping to lift my spirits…here’s how you can make your own!

Step 1: Place your stamping blank on the steel block and use the alphabet stamps and hammer to stamp your message in the center. I like to start with the center letter, then work my way outward to keep things looking even. If you’ve never stamped before, it’s honestly super easy…check out my Stamping 101 tutorial for step-by-step photos and instructions!

Step 2: Color in the stamped letters with black permanent marker, then wipe away the excess with a polishing cloth. This will make your message easier to read and give it an oxidized look.

Step 3: Gently bend the blank using bracelet bending pliers. This step is totally optional; if you don’t have the pliers, the bracelet will still look great with the blank laying flat. I just prefer the gentle curve because it’s more comfortable to wear, looks more professional, and helps to keep the bracelet in place on your wrist.

Step 4: String beads onto elastic. Thread a crimp bead onto the end, then push the end of the elastic back down through the crimp bead to form a small loop. Squeeze the crimp bead tightly to hold it in place. Repeat this step on the other end of your string of beads. Now both ends should have a flattened crimp bead and a small elastic loop.

Step 5: Attach a jump ring to each of the elastic loops. Then, connect the jump rings to your stamped blank.

Now your bracelet is ready to wear!

I’m loving the cheerful color and the reminder that even if it’s chilly, the sun is still shining and I can too!
