DIY Salted Caramel Mocha
If you’re a regular part of the community here at One Artsy Mama, you know that just because I’m awake doesn’t mean I’m ready to do things. Not without my coffee, that is! Every day I enjoy at least one cup of coffee, if not more, while I’m working on the blog and going about my daily routine.
Despite my obsession, though, I don’t actually love the taste of coffee on its own. Hubby drinks his black, but I’m more of a milk and sugar and flavorings kind of gal. And unfortunately for me, it’s a real drain on my bank account if I stop and get a fancy drink at my favorite coffee house every morning. Fortunately, I can make my own café-style coffee and beverages at home with Tate+Lyle® Gourmet Beverage Syrups. Available in Hazelnut Pure Cane Syrup, Caramel Pure Cane Syrup, Vanilla Pure Cane Syrup, and Zero Calorie Vanilla Syrup, these velvety smooth syrups let you make your favorite beverages in the comfort of your own kitchen.
My absolute favorite coffee drink is a Salted Caramel Mocha. Here’s how I create my own with Tate+Lyle® Caramel Pure Cane Syrup.
Ingredients:
¾ cup Brewed Coffee
3 Tbsp Tate+Lyle® Caramel Pure Cane Syrup
1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
½ cup Milk
Whipped Cream
Sea Salt
Brew your coffee. Combine Tate+Lyle® Caramel Pure Cane Syrup and cocoa powder in a mug and pour coffee on top, stirring well to combine. Heat milk in the microwave or on the stove top and stir it into coffee mixture. Top with whipped cream, syrup, a sprinkle of cocoa powder, and a pinch of sea salt.
It’s so easy to do and oh-so-delicious! What do you think? Is this something you would make and enjoy at home? Not a coffee drinker? You can also use these syrups in tea, sodas, smoothies, cocktails and more to create your own customized drink. Each variety of Tate+Lyle® Gourmet Syrups blends 100% pure cane sugar with true vanilla, caramel, or hazelnut flavor. Which one would you try first?
