2016 Ornament Exchange
It’s that time of year…back by popular demand! The 5th Annual One Artsy Mama Ornament Exchange!
If you’d like to play along, all you have to do is send one ornament to someone else and you’ll receive one in return. Here’s how:
Step 1: Sign up! {now through 11-16}
Just fill out the quick form at the bottom of the post. There are separate forms for US and International participants, so please be sure you fill out the correct form.
Step 2: Get matched up.
Erin, my trusty assistant, will email you no later than the 21st of November and give you the following info: the name and address of your recipient, as well as the other responses on the form below. US participants will be matched with fellow US participants, and international participants will receive international partners. If you live in the US and would like an international partner {note that shipping costs will be higher}, please sign up on the international form and not the US form. Do not sign up in both places unless you want two partners.
Step 3: Make or purchase an ornament.
Anything goes: it can be store bought, painted, crocheted, salt dough, paper crafted, kid-made…any kind of ornament you think your recipient would like based on her information. You don’t have to bend over backwards to get the *perfect* ornament, but do try and be considerate {ie: don’t send a Disney ornament if she says she hates Mickey Mouse}. We want to avoid breakage during shipping, which is always a bummer, so please think about using felt, wood, plastic, shatterproof, etc. instead of glass ornaments…or else package them reallllllly well, k?

Step 4: Ship the ornament no later than December 1st!
You can ship it any way you like, and as early as you like, but please make sure you can commit to sending it by this date. If a problem arises, let me know. You may also want to include a little note about yourself to let your recipient know who you are!
Step 5: Open and enjoy the ornament you receive {and thank the sender}!
Step 6: {optional} Share a photo of your ornament on social media and/or in the One Artsy Mama Facebook group! If you have a blog, you may also want to post about what you sent and/or received. When you share, use #OAMExchange so we can follow along and see.

I love the ornament exchange.
I couldn’t see the form fields on my phone when I went to the link through Facebook. Not sure why that was, but I ended up going to my desktop so I could sign up.
I just wanted to thank you for organizing the ornament exchange. I was excited and mailed my ornament out on time to my recipient. I am disappointed that I never received an ornament. It makes me sad that someone would sign up to participate and not follow through. Love your blog. Merry Christmas to you!
