Get Ready for National Mod Podge Day!

Break out your party hats and get ready to celebrate! National Mod Podge Day is coming!

Mod Podge, short for “Modern Decoupage” is a crafter’s best friend. Developed in 1967 by Atlanta native Jan Wetstone, it’s a non-toxic, water based all-in-one glue, sealer, and finish. Jan sold the original formula from her garage until it was purchased by several companies, eventually ending up in its longtime home, Plaid Crafts. Today, Mod Podge is available in 23 different formulas, so there’s a perfect formula for every project!

On Friday, May 19, Plaid is celebrating Mod Podge’s 50th anniversary with a stream of live project tutorials from their team of Creators, including yours truly! I’ll be sharing a hand lettered jewelry project , and my fellow Creators have a wide range of fun craft ideas to share all day long. Here’s a peek at the live stream schedule:

You can RSVP ahead of time on the Plaid Facebook page, or simply tune in Friday at the scheduled times and share in the fun! There will be prize giveaways during each live broadcast too, so be sure to watch for your chance to win Mod Podge and other crafting supplies from Plaid.

Speaking of prizes, don’t miss out on your chance to enter this special contest! All you have to do is take a photo of something you created using any formula of Mod Podge and post it to your Instagram and/or Facebook page. Make sure to tag @PlaidCrafts and use the hashtag #nationalmodpodgeday to enter. The contest ends 5/19 at 2PM EST and the winner will be announced during the 2:00 livestream on Facebook.

Good luck, and I hope to see you all on Facebook Live this Friday! Be sure to tune in to the Plaid Crafts Facebook page at 10 AM for my live tutorial! Happy crafting!
