Fashion Friday: A Favorite Outfit

Hey, friends!  It’s time for Fashion Friday again!  Which is only appropriate, since I have nothing but fashion and blogging on the brain this weekend!!  Today, Kara, Kirsten, and I are each going to share a favorite outfit combo with you in the hopes of bringing you some on-trend inspiration!

I decided to share in more detail one of the other outfits I brought to NYC to wear for a travel day.  Here it is, the outfit otherwise known as “B”.

Recently hubby and I were in the mall during our “date day” and I convinced him to do a little clothes shopping with me.  He knows how stressful it can be for me to try and browse for anything while LC is along, and he actually loves to see me try on clothes, so he was a really good sport about it.  Even if he did spend most of his time checking the Fantasy Football app on my phone.  I spied these teal pants on clearance {!!} and they were a perfect fit, even for short me!  Believe it or not, hubby was the one who spied the floral shirt.  It wasn’t something I’d have grabbed off the display, but he encouraged me to give it a try and I loved it on!  It even has little rhinestones here and there…we all know how I feel about sparkles!!

The colors went together really well since they’re both jewel tones, my favorite kind of color!  I couldn’t resist adding my huge purple flower ring from Charming Charlies…it was a perfect match!  And so was my manicure!  To add a little {as Lucky would say} rocker chic vibe, I added my leather jacket.  It was actually passed down to me from a friend of my mother-in-law who didn’t want it anymore {what was she thinking?!} and it’s literally my favorite piece in my entire closet.
